Having a very good primer is the key to beautiful flawless makeup. However, picking a primer can be kind of tricky, because it's not a one time thing. There is a trial you go through, a very annoying one at that! here is a list of the recent ones that I've tried, Keep in mind it also depends on if you have oily eye lids or dry eye lids. Some people can just get away with concealer or just placing eyeliner all over it's up to you.
UDPP (Matte Eden): I choose Eden because it's a matte primer , and I have very oily lids. UDPP is a very well known brand especially when it comes to their primer potion's. I've tried the original it's not bad but it's still a bit too sheer so I do see a bit fading. Eden is a creamy beige color so you can also use it as a base to enhance the color of your shadows. This is defiantly a go to primer! 5 Kiss
MAC paint pots : I've tried a few colors, but Painterly was the best out of all. Over all it's a great product however, it doesn't work as well for me because of my oily lids, after about 1 hour I will defiantly see creasing and fading. After I apply my UDPP I apply painterly as a base. 3 1/2 Kiss
TwoFaced Shadow Insurance : Honestly I was very disappointed with this product, I heard so many good reviews on this primer , but it didn't even grasp my shadows. It was so sheer I was just better off using concealer! Maybe if you have dry lids this could work for you, but if you have oily lids like me NO! 0 Kiss
Stay don't Stray : Hmmm... This primer wasn't as bad, it actually gave me a few hrs of enhancement and no creases. But after 3/4 hrs I started seeing creasing, however, the intensity of the shadow color stayed! So again having oily lids can be extremely hard. So if your lids are dry or normal this will be perfect as a primer and base because it's a creamy off white color. 4 Kiss
Hope This Helped! and remember sometimes it takes a trial of more than 1 brand to find your perfect e/s primer.
